Our History

It was at the request of Mother Efeasta McGhee -Charter member ,that a small bible study be held in her home, February of 2007. A small group gathered, and the bible study soon moved to the home of  founding members-the Rowell family. By March of 2007, Pastor R.B McGhee was called to pastor the small faithful group.

Thereafter, Faith and Love Fellowship was organized and incorporated as a non-profit organization and church. In august 2007, the church held its first official “open house” celebration service at 6553 W Kedzie in Chicago, IL. The ministry was truly blessed with a month long celebration of blessings from apostles, bishops, evangelist, preachers and teachers, giving Faith and Love Fellowship full support of its new endeavors.

Under the leadership of Pastor R. B McGhee, members grew in knowledge and understanding about the things of God, ministry, and by the power of the Holy Spirit people were delivered, and lives changed, and planted in His word. Along the way, the church faced many ups and downs, blessings and sorrows, trials and sufferings, as many ministries do, that God has great purpose for. We grieved the loss of founding and lay members along the way, but through the grace of God, we have continued.

Today, as we have navigated through one of the most trying times in most of our lives-Covid Pandemic . We are still steadfast and unmovable to continue the great work God began in the shepherd and the ministry.

As a 501C3 not-for-profit organization, our outreach through Evangelism, are to help in the community by offering a place for the single mother & children or families displaced and in need of a transitional home, a facility that will allow them to receive the tools, and resources to live and serve in their community.
